When it comes to lawn maintenance, half the job of scarifying your lawn is the scarification, the other half is removing the thatch and debris. This can be a daunting, time consuming and back breaking task - until now.

Thatch in the lawn is a breeding ground for fungi and mould and traps moisture at the surface. Using a scarifier to free it of unwanted thatch and moss will enable water, oxygen and fertiliser to penetrate the roots of your lawn much more effectively. The normal time for scarifying your lawn is in the spring and again in the autumn, best suited to a dry day.

Better scarifiers have metal blades that cut through the turf allowing more air and light to enter the grass plant, with secondary springs that comb out the moss. Raking and combing of course is just half the job, the collection of thatch and debris can be very time consuming. Optional collection bags that can collect up to 60 litre of grass reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the task – an important job in the maintenance of your lawn – our green and pleasant land.
